Place
The text itself provides no clues as to the place of printing, but one can infer based on the Cardinal's other major publications that the place would have been Paris, possibly the Galleries at the Louvre where the King's Printers typically produced royal documents and publications.
Publisher
The text also does not provide any clues as to who printer or published this edition of Richelieu's journal. However, there is significant evidence that points to Sébastien Cramoisy (1584 - 1669) as the possible printer and bookseller, as he published many of Cardinal Richelieu's works beginning in 1614. It is worth noting that even if Cramoisy did publish this volume, his printer's device is nowhere to be found so he (or whomever the printer was) may have been asked to print this book anonymously.

CONTENT:
"Procez de Messieurs de Cinq-Mars et de Thou instruict par Monsieur le chancelier": p. 235-420
This book does not include a Privilège du Roi, presumably because Richelieu, as Chief Minister and a clergyman part of the royal council would not have needed permission to print.
TYPE:
Roman, Italic.
ILLUSTRATIONS:
None.
DEDICATIONS:
None.
PROVENANCE:
CRRS bookplate on inner pastedown. In addition, the title page and the final leaf both contain a printed seal belonging to the “Bibliotheque Sorbonne” (library of the Sorbonne University). Final leaf also contains CRRS bookstamp.
There is also a note in pencil written on th inner pastedown which indicates: H.4 R.2 rare 27/5, £6 | 6 }, 657, 27/5
In addition, printed on the first blank leaf of the front matter in all capital letters is the name Selz Niedreb but it is unclear whether this is a name, or if this is in the German language. It may be the name of one of the book’s previous owners, or a donor who provided it to a library at some point.
As well, the title page features a signature, but it is unclear to whom it can be attributed. It is possible it could have been the bookseller or the printer's, else it would have belonged to one of the book’s owners.
CONDITION:
Binding: Tight-back binding. There is a green piece of cloth that has been sewn into the spine to function as a bookmark. Leather over boards. Good condition.
Paper: wove paper, good condition.
BINDING:
Boards measure 10.5cm x 16.3cm, leaves measure 10cm x 15.7cm
Leather over boards, gold lettering on spine. A conservator has repaired the front board as evidenced by adhesive tape on both the inner marble pastedown and flyleaf.
Additionally, the spine has some further ornamentation in the form of gold fleur-de-lis symbols, which may have been added by the binder who was commissioned to create this binding case. The current binding was added after 1649 as evidenced by the good condition of the boards and little evidence of fraying of the spine.

CONTENT:<br />Reprint of: Gazette de France -- No. 103 (3 Sept. 1660), p. 785-816.<br /><br />Copy with: France. Treaties, etc. Spain. 1659 Nov. 7. Traitté de paix entre les couronnes de France et d'Espagne. A Paris : Par les imprimeurs & libraires du roy, 1660 (BCH-0440).<br /><br />Note: the first half of this book, which I have referred to as book one, is a treaty between France and Spain of the marriage between King Louis XIV and Marie Therese. It ends after page 87 as the last numbered leaf, followed by an <em>extrait du privilege</em>, then the first main page of text of the second book, the "Magnifique and Superbe..." begins on [89]. There is a note on the final leaf of book two indicating that i<span>t was printed in the Galleries of the Louvre, which shows strong evidence that a King's printer (or printers) would have produced the original. The date of printing is listed as 3 September 1660. </span><br /><br />
<span>TYPE: <br />Roman, Italic.<br /><br /></span>
ILLUSTRATIONS: <br />Two copperplate engravings, both frontispieces, one of Marie Therese of France and one of King Louis XIV of France. Woodcuts of section headers can be found throughout the book sa well as decorated woodcut initials.<br /><br />
<span>DEDICATIONS: <br />Privilège du roi, <em>extrait des registres du conseil d’Eꭍtat.<br /><br /></em></span>
PROVENANCE: <br />CRRS bookplate on inner pastedown as well as CRRS stamp on final leaf. On the inner pastedown, a pencil note reads: H4 Tr1 7295, scm 1021 which could be an accession number or other cataloguing information.<br /><br />
<span>CONDITION: </span><br /><span>Binding: tight-back binding. Paper over boards, rebound after 1660, there is a thin, fragile strip of pasted cloth onto the spine with the title in gold letters; ridges of the spine appear to be decorative and not authentic. Book is in overall good working condition. Spine also features gold decorations, but they are imitative gold and not genuine. </span><br /><br /><span><span>Paper: </span></span>wove paper, working condition, but the pages of book one are of a better quality and thicker stock than the thin pages of book two. Leaves have been trimmed from their original size and are uneven. There are brown splotches on the pages of book two, and some holes in the pages but they are not consistent with bookworm damage.<br /><br />
BINDING: <br />Paper over boards. Not an original binding to 1660 but added later by one of the book's owners, who may have requested that two books of his collection relating to the marriage of Marie Therese and King Louis XIV be combined into a single volume. The format of this book is listed as an octavo (8v0) in the University of Toronto library catalogue, but closer examination suggests that this book is closer to a quarto (4v0).<br /><br />Boards measure 18 x 23cm, longest leaves measure 17 x 22.5cm (but leaves vary in length due to this book being trimmed and rebound).<br /><br />
MARGINALIA: <br />This book contains hand-written marginalia, particularly on one page that has a strip that is longer than the other leaves at the bottom.

Note
A surreptitious ed. printed in Brussels by Foppens (or in Amsterdam?) disowned by La Rochefoucauld. Less than half is by him, and that very defective; the "Guerre de Paris" is spurious. "Retraitte de Monsieur de Longueville" by Saint-Evremond; the "Apologie pour Monsieur de Beaufort" by Guillaume Girard. The genuine memoirs were not printed until 1804 Called in the Advis au lecteur, "cette nouvelle [i.e. seconde] edition", but is the 3rd or 4th. cf. E. Rahir, Catalogue d'une collection unique de volumes imprimés par les Elzevier, 1896, and Oeuvres de La Rochefoucauld, 1868. t. 1, p. 112-116; and t. 2, p. viii-xvi
