Vol. 5 also contains: An historical discourse on the life of Gustavus Adolphus, King of Sweden.- Critical remarks [by A. de Tricaud and A. Gaudin] upon the new edition of Moreri's historical dictionary, published in the year 1704. With a preface and several observations written by Mr. Bayle, for the use of the new editors of that dictionary. Translated into English from the third edition of the original French. To which are added New observations upon those critical remarks, and on the editions of Moreri, printed in the year 1725.-
A dissertation concerning the book of Stephanus Junius Brutus, printed in the year 1579.- A dissertation concerning defamatory libels.- A dissertation concerning the hippomanes.- A dissertation upon the day.- A dissertation which was printed before some essays or fragments of this work, in the year MDCXCII, under the title of, A project of a critical dictionary.- Remarks on a pamphlet intituled, The judgement of the public, and particularly of the Abbot Renaudot, on Mr. Bayle's critical dictionary.
