Although the publication date is listed as 1662, the book was printed in the month of February 1661, which is when the printers, led by Edme Martin, were granted the permission to print (Acheué d’imprimer au moi de Feurier 1661)

CRRS bookplate on inner pastedown and CRRS stamp on final leaf. Pencil on the back cover pastedown indicates “11 – 1 – 67” as well as something indistinct that has been crossed out. This could refer to the acquisition date by a library of this item.

Someone, possibly the printer, has noted in ink: H 5-10+ which may be a reference to how long the publishing rights were granted based on the Privilege of this book.
CONDITION:
Binding: Marbled boards have scratches and some distress with the front board fully detached. Spine has some wearing and chipping near the top and bottom, but gold lettering remains visible and distinct.
Paper: Wove paper, some pages have creases or bends, especially the frontispiece engraving, scuff marks, possible water droplets with white spots on some pages, and some browning of the pages.
