This is the second book that beings with the life of Theseus. It is translated by Lodovico Domenichi who was an Italian Translator (1515-1564). The greek texts were put together by Lionardo Ghini.

This codex contains within it two separate books that were later bound together. The cover on the right is not the original binding. On the title page of the first codex the text states that the book is dedicated (in translation) to Principe et Signore Il. S. Guidobaldo Feltrio della Rovere.

Duke Guidobaldo II was an important patron of the arts. Tomaso Porcacchi on the other hand was an author and cartographer who participated in the introductiory note including the dedication to the Duke Guidobaldo and the introduction encomassing Plutarch's life. On the second codex we have a letter from "Gabriel Giolito" better known as Gabriele Giolito de' Ferrari (c. 1508-1578) a 16th century Italian printer active in Venice. The master Lionardo Ghini was a translator for the Greek portion and Lodovico Domenichi (1515-1564 Italian Translator). On the very last page there is the Printer's device of Gabriele Giolito de' Ferrari ("GGF"), 1552, with Phoenix rising from the flames and motto "Semper eadem" (Latin: "Always the same")
